Managing the Gain Structure for an S-4000 System
The RSS S-4000 digital snake provides very high quality, remotely controlled, XR-1 microphone preamps on the stage or performance platform. This proximity to the source microphones provides the highest possible audio quality for your system. Once these sources are converted to digital signals in the S-4000, they can be sent digitally to a variety of locations such as FOH, Monitor and Recording locations, without the high frequency losses and potential for induced buzzes and hums inherent in analog snakes.
This document describes how to manage the gain structure of an S-4000 system when the snake is used with analog consoles at the FOH and Split positions.
